This 80-acre retreat is fun for all ages. All of the sites have water, electric and sewer. Wilderness Lakes is known for its fishing and family atmosphere. Stocked canals weave throughout the preserve. You can catch catfish right from your campsite, feed the numerous ducks, or play a round of miniature golf. Within 10 miles of the preserve there are five challenging golf courses. Many Southern California attractions are within a 90-minute drive, including the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Knott’s Berry Farm, Palm Springs Aerial Tramway and Disneyland.


Campsites: 519 full hookups.

Rentals: 9 29-foot trailers, 1 29-foot handicapped-accessible trailer, 8 30- foot slideouts, 4 garden homes, 4 park models, 2 Cabins and 6 Getaway cabins.

From Los Angeles/Riverside: Take I-60 east to I-215 south toward San Diego. Two miles past Sun City, take the Newport Road exit and go over the freeway. Follow Newport Road for about one mile and turn right on Laguna Vista. Go to the first stop sign, which is Rockport, and turn left. Follow to Briggs Road. Turn right and go .7 miles to preserve entrance.

From Riverside: Take I-215 south toward San Diego and follow the above directions.

From Orange County: Take 91 east to I-15 south toward Lake Elsinore. Take Railroad Canyon Road exit, turn left going east toward Canyon Lake.

Note: Railroad Canyon is under construction and will eventually turn into Newport Road. Until then, follow Railroad Canyon Road 4.8 miles to Newport Road, and turn right. Go east 5.7 miles and you will pass over the I-215 freeway. Follow the above directions to the resort.

From San Diego: Take I-15 north toward Temecula, where the freeway will split. Take I-215 north toward San Bernardino and exit at Newport Road. Turn right and get over to center lane. (The right lane forces you to turn right). Follow the above directions to the resort.

From Palm Springs: Take I-10 west to Beaumont and take the Highway 79 exit and turn left (south). Follow all the way down the hill and continue straight onto Sanderson. You will cross the Ramona Expressway at this point. Take Sanderson through Hemet and turn right on the Domenigoni Parkway. Follow to Laguna Vista and turn left. Follow the above directions.

Note: Domenigoni Parkway will turn into Newport Road right at the Laguna Vista stoplight. DO NOT ENTER RV INTO STORE PARKING LOT, PROCEED TO SECOND ENTRANCE.
