This beautiful, 800-acre preserve lies on the eastern shore of Hog Island Bay on te Atlantic Ocean. With is own clam areas, this prime shorefront preserve ofers a wide range of water activities, including swimming, fishing and boating. The world's largest Navy Base, Norfolk, is convenient to this preserve, as are Colonial Williamsburg and the famous Busch Gardens.
Campsites: 200 power and water only, 46 overflow sites.
Rentals: 19 cabins (satellite TV).

From Norfolk: Take Hwy. 13 through the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel to the Eastern Shore town of Painter. (Note: Automobiles on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel are charged a toll of $10, depending on axles; some RVs are charged more than twice this amount.) At the traffic light, take a right onto Hwy. 182. Follow Hwy. 182 to the town of Quinby and take a right on Hwy. 605. The preserve is located six miles from Quinby.
