Situated on the banks of the Russian River and surrounded by the wine country’s natural beauty, this is a popular place for kayaking, canoeing, rafting, trout fishing and swimming. The crystal-clear Russian River is the highlight of this preserve, offering a relaxing atmosphere to sit and gaze at its gently flowing water, read a book, or even doze off while listening to the birds sing. We have plenty of spacious campsites among our madrona, oak and pine trees. You are sure to enjoy the natural wildlife that call these beautiful surroundings home—deer, squirrels, raccoons and a large variety of birds, including the California quail, bluejays, woodpeckers and our favorite the wild turkeys!
