Located in the San Jacinto Mountains, this
200-acre camping preserve allows you to escape from the Southern California heat and enjoy panoramic mountain scenery. These rugged, pine-covered mountains are perfect for summer hiking and winter snowshoeing. Come fish our stocked trout pond, or enjoy sunny days in our swimming and wading pools.

Campsites: 220 summertime sites, 40 winter sites.

Rentals: 21 trailers, 4 cabins.

GPS Coordinates: N 33° 45' 59.88" W 116° 43' 58.73"; elevation is 6,425 feet.

From I-10: (Strongly Recommended) Take the Idyllwild turnoff at Hwy. 243 in Banning. Proceed 22 miles to Pine Cove on Hwy. 243. Look for Marion Ridge Drive and turn left (Pine Cove Fire Station is on your left). Continue a halfmile.

From I-15: Take State Hwy. 74 through Hemet to Mount Center, then Hwy. 243 through Idyllwild, about 3 to 4 miles to Pine Cove. Turn right on the corner of Marion Ridge Drive and 243. Look for the Pine Cove Fire Station on the corner. Continue a half-mile.

From Palm Springs Preserve: Take Washington St. to Hwy. 111. Turn right on Hwy. 111 to Hwy. 74 in Palm Desert. Turn left and follow Hwy. 74 to Mount Center and turn right on Hwy. 243. Follow Hwy. 243 past Idyllwild about 3 miles to Pine Cove. Turn right on Marion Ridge Drive (look for the Pine Cove Fire Station on the corner). Continue a halfmile.
