St. Patrick’s Day Weekend

Join millions around the globe who celebrate Irish culture right at home at Thousand Trails campgrounds this spring!

Wear your green and join us at Palm Springs (CA) the weekend of March 17-18 for some Irish songs and dancing featuring Richard and Mary on St. Patrick’s Day Weekend. Enjoy a weekend of authentic Irish and Celtic music complete with harps, fiddles and singing! Orlando (FL) hosts the Sounds of the Irish on March 11.Thursday March 16, join us at Peace River (FL) for our traditional St. Patrick’s Potluck. On Friday March 17, practice your billiards game for Saturday’s Third Annual St. Patrick’s Billiards Tournament! Win our Green Champions Ribbon for 2016! Everyone wear green and celebrate at Three Flags (FL)! Let’s get together for a potluck meal with a Green Theme on March 17.

Live Music

There’s no shortage of live music at Peace River (FL) this March! Check out this Thousand Trails campground that will be rockin’ all month long.

Mercy Seat will be performing in the Meeting House at 7pm on Friday March 7 at Peace River (FL). Mike Thomas will be entertaining us in the Meeting House on Saturday March 18 at 7 pm at Peace River (FL). On Sunday March 19, Jerry Jones Gospel will be performing in the Meeting House at 7 pm Peace River (FL). The Weaver Believers will entertain with their high energy show on Saturday March 11, also at Peace River (FL).

Dance the Night Away!

Live entertainment and dance socials are never booked sparingly at Thousand Trails. Check out these listings for upcoming live entertainment this March.

DJ Paul Dornstedt will be playing music for us on March 11 at Wilderness Lakes (CA). We’ll be dancing and socializing, and you’re welcome to join us whether you dance or not! The following day, March 12, kicks off the weekend of the Annual Line Dance Rally. Register and enjoy a potluck on the 12th, and gear up with dance instruction that culminates on March 16 with a final dance! Hits from the old rock n’ roll classics will be performed and interesting stories will be shared about the songs and the artists on March 18 at Orlando (FL) for Rock & Roll of the Ages. Saturday March 25, we will host a Sock Hop Dance at Orlando (FL). Dress up in your 50s clothes and let’s dance til we drop! Kick off a Wind and Sea weekend starting March 9, at Peace River (FL) on Thursday evening with Laughing Bird who be here to entertain you with their entertaining, funny show!

Gettin' Social

Whether it’s to celebrate a holiday, bring special dishes to a potluck, or simply enjoy a relaxing night of music, members love to get together. Join us at these fun and entertaining events happening at Thousand Trails this March.

Make your own leis, play games and enjoy the fun the weekend of March 4 for Hawaiian Hullabaloo at Peace River (FL)! On Saturday, there will be a Luau and a Tacky Tourist Dress Up Contest also at Peace River (FL). Enjoy a fun night of music, stories and laughter with your friends and family on March 4 at Orlando (FL) for an R&R Night of Music! We will all scream for our green Ice Cream Social on March 18 at Soledad Canyon (CA) followed by a St. Patty’s Dance in the evening. Visit us in Pio Pico (CA) the weekend of March 24-26 for a Spring Fling Weekend! Featuring spring-themed events to welcome the new season! Three Flags (FL) The following weekend, March 24-26, there will be a Dessert & Coffee Social. Who doesn’t love a yummy dessert potluck and fresh coffee in the afternoon? Members are invited to join us and sample their neighbor’s dessert creations.

La Conner Daffodil Festival

See entire fields of bright, cheery daffodils during the La Conner Daffodil Festival in the Skagit Valley. This festival lasts the entire month of March. There are many events surrounding the Daffodil Festival, including a photo contest, ride your bike in the Daffodil Tweed Ride on March 18th (free), or attend the "Stage Door Canteen Dinner Dance," presented by Skagit County Historical Museum.

James Wood Motors Wise County Youth Rodeo

Events include mutton bustin ages 7 and younger, age 19 and younger is junior bronc riding, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding and bull riding. Fair grounds is short 20 min drive from Bay Landing campground.

Pawnee Bill's Wild West Show

A historical reenactment of the original Pawnee Bill’s Wild West Show. The show features trick roping, trick shooting, trick riding, cowboy songs and an entertaining look at history. Historical figures such as Pawnee Bill come to life and transport the spectator back in time. The shows are based on actual events and stunts that occurred in the original Pawnee Bill’s Wild West Show that toured the country some 90 years ago. The Pawnee Bill’s Wild West Show. Spectators will get a glimpse of the past as entertainers recreate the original Wild West show, which was first held in Fort Worth’s Cowtown Coliseum in 1909. Wholesome entertainment for the entire family full of animals, spectacular performers with ropes, bullwhips, pistols and even a singing cowboy!

The 2017 Verde Valley Archaeology Fair Signature Event

Includes the International Archaeology Film Festival and ArchaeoMadness. Lectures, exhibits, demonstrations for the entire family. Part of Camp Verde’s Spring Heritage, Pecan, and Wine Festival. Premiere event of the Arizona SciTech Festival.

Loven Family Run

Lace up your shoes and start training for the 6th annual Loven Family Run happening on March 25, 2017, in Cottonwood, Arizona. Hosted by the Northern Arizona Healthcare Foundation (NAHF), proceeds from this annual event benefit Northern Arizona Healthcare’s assisted living facility, Valley View Care and EntireCare Rehab & Sports Medicine. The Loven Family Run is open to all ages and includes a family 2K run/walk, 5K run/walk and 10K run.

Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival

'Tis the luck of the Irish for San Diego when the St. Patrick's Day Parade sets off from Juniper and 6th Street by Balboa Park. An Irish festival with traditional dancers, music, a beer garden and Celtic village follows the parade.

March 17

With 40,000 sq. ft. of Astroturf, downtown San Diego's historic Gaslamp Quarter turns into the rolling hills of Ireland from 6PM to midnight. This St. Patrick's Day party includes Irish rock bands and pints of green beer.
