MESSAGE FROM MARGUERITE

Family Camping

The New Year is upon us, bringing new opportunities, challenges and, for many of us, New Yearís resolutions.

The definition of resolution is simple, a firm decision to do or not to do something. That sounds easy enough in theory, right? Itís the beginning of a new year; we are energized, and believe anything is possible. However, itís no secret that New Yearís resolutions often fall by the wayside when life ramps up and routine kicks in. Letís work to make 2017 a year when resolutions are kept. With thoughts of improving health, seeing family, or traveling more, there are certainly benefits to committing.

Weíve learned from our experiences over the course of the past year, which helps to prepare us for the future. These experiences may have taught us something new or perhaps served as gentle reminders of what is most important to us. For many, these experiences involved family and friends, travel, health and wellbeing, and the great outdoors.

We recently asked our members and guests what resolutions they will be making in 2017. Many shared similar thoughts: hope to camp more, visit new places, travel the country and spend more time with family and friends. These are all achievable and can be done together. With the lifestyle provided by Thousand Trails, we are lucky to be able to focus on all of these at the same time and can consider a resolution successful with just a couple of camping trips. Plus, what a fun way to succeed with a resolution!

So, as we look forward to a new year, let's make time for what matters most. Take this opportunity to plan ahead, and resolve to make 2017 the year where you stick to your resolutions. Take that road trip across the country, visit the family members you havenít seen as much, and always make time to enjoy the great outdoors. If you resolve to focus on those things, you might just find that 2017 will be a great year.
