MESSAGE FROM MARGUERITE
This month TrailBlazer highlights National Trails Day®, Wet and Wild adventures, Land Lover favorites and a new, well... really an old way to enjoy the great outdoors.
If you are planning a summer vacation that the whole family will enjoy, we’ve done our best to provide some great options that will surely please. For those of you who prefer water adventures, we have put together a list of some of the best rafting outfitters that will surely appeal to beginners as well as those of you who prefer more of an adrenaline rush. It would be a mistake if I did not mention our own Ponderosa RV Campground located on the banks of the American River, a summer rafting favorite.
Did you know that a number of Thousand Trails locations feature some of the best walking and hiking trails around? On June 4, we will be celebrating National Trails Day® across the country. Mark your calendars and plan to participate in our Walk the Trails program.
So what’s a Yurt you ask? Well this unique accommodation may be just the perfect fit for your family’s next outdoor vacation. Try one out, the kids will love it! To learn more about yurts and to see where you can stay in one at a Thousand Trails or Encore campground please see page 34 of the magazine.
By now a number of you should have received your #100DaysofCamping rally towel, distributed on Memorial Day weekend. I am looking forward to seeing all the great photos shared again this summer!
So don’t let another day slip away – Make your summer vacation plans today and be sure one of your favorite Thousand Trails campgrounds is on your list.
