New Year’s Weekend

Party into 2016 at these Thousand Trails campgrounds!

Start the new year off right dancing into the new year with a live band at the Annual New Year’s Bash on Dec 31 at Lake Texoma (TX). On Saturday 1/2/16, we will be serving black-eyed peas and cornbread...mmm! Join the folks at Turtle Beach (CA) in the lodge from 10am to 11am for a complimentary continental New Year’s breakfast! Dance the night away, and toast to new beginnings at Peace River (FL).

Friendly Competition

There’s always room for a little healthy competition! Check out the games and competitions happening this winter.

Peace River (FL) will hold the 3rd Annual Ironman Games on Jan 16-17. Test your skills at shuffleboard, horseshoes, mini golf, and more. Compete for a coveted blue ribbon, to be awarded at the end! A winning combination on a Friday night is definitely good food and fun games. Join the folks at Turtle Beach (CA) on Jan 22 or Feb 26 for a Friday Night Potluck & Cards at 5:30pm in the Lodge. The folks at Pacific City (OR) have a sweet, new, big screen TV and will be having a party for the big game on Feb 7. Be sure to snag some raffle tickets, which will be available before the game. Lake Texoma (TX) invites you to play cards with them from Feb 5-7! Come meet new friends as we see how many different kinds of card games we can come up with.

Valentine’s Day Weekend

Love is in the air! Celebrate love with your Valentine at these Thousand Trails Campgrounds this February.

Join the folks at Pio Pico (CA) for a special dinner the weekend of Feb 12 at the Café followed by dancing with DJ RP Mobile Music. Dance the night away with your Valentine! Feb 13-14 is the weekend for sweethearts at Peace River (FL). Join your partner and play in the 2nd Annual Couples Shuffleboard Contest! A red ribbon will be award to the winner. At Lake of the Springs (CA), a Valentine’s Dinner and Dance will be held on Feb 13. Don’t miss out on this dinner for the California lovers! Bring your sweetheart to Lake Texoma (TX) the weekend of Feb 12-14 to find the hidden Valentine in the park and win a prize! And don’t be late for sweets and a movie at 1pm in the Lodge at Turtle Beach (CA) for a Sweets & Sweethearts weekend.

Something for Everyone in 2016

There are lots of unique and fun events happening at this winter. January and February will fly by before you know it!

Get crafty at Lake Texoma (TX) the weekend of Jan 15-17 and bring your fresh ideas for crafts to share! Peace River (FL) invites you to clown around the campfire for the Giggles & Wiggles weekend from Jan 9-10. Later in January, Peace River (FL) hosts a field trip to Lions, Tigers, and Bears for the Jungle Fever Weekend on Jan 23-24 and for Magic Moments Family Weekend Jan 30-31, where arts & crafts and games for all ages will surely be a family bonding experience. Feb 6-7 is Music Mania Weekend at Peace River (FL). There will be games and wacky contests centered around music from the 50s to the present. Decorate masks and join the folks at Peace River (FL) for a Louisiana boil at the fire pit for the Big Easy Mardi Gras Weekend Feb 20-21. And end February at Peace River (FL) with Cowboy weekend, where tacos around the chuck wagon and pitchin’ horseshoes are on the agenda from Feb 27-28.

Enjoy an evening under the stars! Join us at the Visitor Center and remember to bring binoculars (if you have them) and a flashlight (red lens preferable, to preserve night vision).
