Veteran’s Day

This November, members don’t forget to remember our veterans that serve our country.

The weekend of Nov. 7-8 will center around honoring our veteran’s. At San Benito (CA), pay tribute to the men and women who serve our country with honor plus veterans eat free breakfast here on Sunday! The local Boy Scouts at Colorado River (TX) will present their annual flag ceremony. The folks at Scotrun (PA) encourage you to salute our veterans and give them a call to say “thanks!” At Lake Texoma (TX), this weekend will be all about paying tribute to all of our veterans. Veterans come join us for free root beer floats!


Share what you’re thankful for and enjoy stuffing yourself with turkey and all the fixings at these Thousand Trails Thanksgiving celebrations!

Time to give thanks on Nov. 26 at Rancho Oso (CA) with the traditional Thanksgiving dinner and dessert potluck. Join the folks at Russian River (CA) for a holiday feast in the lodge on Thanksgiving. This event is limited to the first 32 registered guests/members and they provide the turkey, stuffing, potatoes, and gravy; you provide a traditional Thanksgiving side dish or dessert. The Lake Minden (CA) Thanksgiving celebration weekend is the most popular social of the year. Enjoy a scrumptious meal while you catch up with old friends and make new ones. Follow it up with the Lake Minden Turkey Leftovers Potluck special from Nov. 27-29.

Holidays at Thousand Trails

Happy Holidays from Thousand Trails! This season, we are celebrating all the different holidays with good food and good people.

Sign up at the recreation center for the annual Christmas party and potluck luncheon at Cultus Lake (BC) on Dec. 12. Join the folks at Chehalis (WA) on Dec. 19 in the Adult Lodge for for an afternoon of holiday music, good cheer, and tasty morsels at the dessert potluck. It’s a Holiday Party Weekend at Seaside (OR) on Dec. 19 and celebrate christmas, Kwanzaa, Boxing Day and Hanukkah. Come and decorate your RV, go Christmas caroling, make garland for the birds, and enjoy movie night at Pio Pico (CA) from Dec. 5-6. Come socialize Dec. 19 at Las Vegas (NV) at the Holiday Fest potluck social featuring desserts by you!

Decorating Contests & Events

Get into the holiday spirit by decorating your rig for a contest or warm up with a bowl of chili at these Thousand Trails events.

Time to put away those pilgrims and pumpkins and put out the sleigh bells and reindeer. Help the folks at Pacific City (OR) decorate the family lodge for the Christmas season on Dec. 5! We will also decorate and light up our tree while we listen to Christmas music and enjoy holiday beverages and cookies. Do you have an award winning chili recipe? Sign up for the Fourth Annual Palm Springs Chili Cook-Off at Palm Springs (CA). Members and guests will be able to sample the entries after the contest is over Dec. 11-12 for the Wild West Weekend. From Dec. 19-24, decorate your rig for the Rig Lighting Contest at Rancho Oso (CA).

Season of Giving Back & Sharing

Whether it’s sharing recipes, or running a toy drive, folks at Thousand Trails are giving back and sharing with their communities this holiday season!

The Annual Community Food Drive will take place from Nov. 1 -22 at Turtle Beach Fish Camp (CA) and all food items will be donated to the local food drive on Nov. 23. The folks at Lake Conroe (TX) are asking people to donate a toy for our toys for tots program on Nov. 21. They will also be making care packages to send overseas to our military troops. Donate an unwrapped toy to the Christmas Toy Run at Bay Landing (TX) on Dec. 5 and all the toys will be donated to the Wise County Toy Run.

Ring in the New Year

End 2015 with Thousand Trails and ring in the New Year in style.

Join the folks at La Conner (WA) for a New Year’s Party with favorite DJ, Charlie Moore, plus food, dancing, and a whole lot of fun! Start 2016 off right and don’t miss the party of the year! It’s all about remembering our accomplishments and adventures of 2015 at Lake Conroe (TX). Come ring in the New Year with us! We will be having a New Year’s bash with live entertainment and hors d’oeuvres on New Year’s Eve! Come ring in the New Year at Lake of the Springs (CA) and have a fun, safe celebration, plus dinner will be served, followed by a dance with a live band.
