Did you know that there are approximately 100 days of camping that can be enjoyed starting from summer's official kick off weekend, Memorial Day, through what is typically known as the end of summer, Labor Day weekend? The challenge: how can we possibly fit in all of the fun events planned at our locations throughout this summer season?

This is a challenge we're excited to accept! Included in this issue is our official theme weekend directory, which highlights events from luaus and pirate themed weekends to carnival themes and, one of our favorites, Christmas in July. Also, lace up your best walking shoes and don't miss out as all of our locations celebrate National Trails Day® the weekend of June 5-6. Founded by the American Hiking Society, National Trails Day® commemorates the many hiking trails we have in this country.

With so many of our properties featuring on-site walking and hiking trails we thought it would be best to celebrate this event on a national level. So, be sure to make plans now to "Walk the Trails" at your favorite Thousand Trails location.

As more families choose camping as their vacation of choice, our focus remains on providing fun family activities and events to be enjoyed by all in the great outdoors. For those who prefer the comforts of home, we do offer a number of unique accommodations for your convenience, whatever your family's preference may be. From park models and cabins, to yurts and a covered wagon or two, we're here to help you build family memories while enjoying and reconnecting to the great outdoors.

So, as we prepare for summer my challenge to all of you is to enjoy as many events with your family as possible! Create those summer memories, plan that special summer vacation, "Walk the Trails," share those pictures, and let's all have some fun this summer! There are 100 days of camping fun in the sun and over 1,000 activities ahead of us. Accept the challenge and bring on the summer season!

Let the countdown begin...
