Our seasonal preserves are kicking into high gear, preparing for one of the biggest camping weekends of the season, and the unofficial kick-off of summer, Memorial Day Weekend.

If you've been following the News and Notes section in TrailBlazer you know that our on-site teams have been busy with updates including remodeled lodges and activity centers, spruced up landscaping, new roofs, decks and more.

I am also happy to report the opening of Rondout Valley! As many of you recall, Rondout was in the path of a major hurricane last year and required extensive repairs. I appreciate the efforts of our teams and the patience of our loyal members throughout this period.

When the creators of the Food Network hit, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives came up with the show, the concept was to be a road trip that was all about food. Sounds fun, right? As you travel to your camping destinations this summer, why not consider what's to eat along the way? This issue of TrailBlazer not only features an interview with the man that made Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives famous, Guy Fieri, but we also provide our own sampling of these wonderful eateries near to our preserves. We've compiled a list with a little help from our Facebook fans as well as our preserve managers. Next time you're visiting one of the preserves, make sure to check out the local fare!

On that note, I will wish you all a happy Memorial Day Weekend and we look forward to a fun-filled summer season of camping, family and friends, and of course, good food!

Thought Of the Month
"One thing I'd love to say about RVing—I encourage more road trips. Just get out there and see it. Meet the people, eat the food, see the sites!" - Guy Fieri
