Cultus Lake

July 24: Taste of BC: We will have all local fruits, vegetables and specialty foods such as goat cheese and honey products. We'll also offer a wine tasting from a local winery. Event starts 2 p.m. Come and enjoy! Evening meal with be an AYCE Spaghetti Dinner at 5:30 p.m. Then it's time to dance the night away with the Hong Kong Cowboy at 7 p.m.

July 30-Aug 2: BC Day Weekend: Breakfast will be served each day of the long weekend. Every parent needs a night out so come enjoy our Saturday evening Casino Night from 7 to 9:30 p.m. There will be horse races, blackjack, bingo and much more. Try your luck and see what prizes you can win. Supper includes our cook’s famous burgers, hot dogs and corn on the cob, beginning at 5 p.m.

Saturday Market in the Park
Featuring fresh produce, home baking, jams, jellies, local crafts, flea market items (new and used). Located at Cultus Lake (near the mall), just 5 miles from the preserve. Event runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through September 4.


Pacific City

July 17: Twilight, New Moon, & Eclipse Mystery Weekend: Which employees are Vampires and who is not? Which employee's eyes change color from gold to green? It will be your goal to follow the clues and solve the mystery. Vampire crafts, "find Edward" and the other Twilight characters scavenger hunt. Watch "Twilight" on the big screen TV.

July 24: Western Daze: Boot and Shoe scramble, stick horse crafts and race. Join "The Rafters" for a toe tappin' good time.

July 31: "Survivor' Weekend of the "PC Isles." Can your team handle the physical and mental endurance test? Nobody knows what lurks in the next event with SAND, SALT, ROCKS, SHELLS & SEA.

Whalers Rest

July 3-4: America Rocks!: Celebrate the 4th with family BBQ, games and old-fashioned fun. We'll have our annual parade on the 3rd as well as "America Bingo" in the North Clubhouse. Plenty of local firework displays.

July 10-11: Way Out West: Cowboys and cowgals, y'all come to the greatest corral on the Oregon coast. The poker stampede will be runnin' around the preserve. Keep a watch for the local sheriff who has the jail all warmed up for you and your kin. Hired Hands will entertain us with some great fiddling in the South Clubhouse.

July 15: Kids Extreme Play Night: The South Clubhouse is turned over to the kids for fun and games, swimming and a great movie. July 17-18: Spuds Unite!: Join us for the French fry eating contest. Bring your largest potato to "Mr. Potato Night."

July 24-25: Sportsman's Paradise: We'll cast off our annual fishing competition this weekend. Who will get the prize for 2010? Casting competition for all ages. Join us in the evening for some backcountry fun with The New Folksters in our South Clubhouse.

July 31-Aug 1: Weekend at the Track: The horses will be running this weekend in our very own horse race. Place your bets for a big payoff of memories. Dee Smith brings back memories as he performs great hits in our South Clubhouse.


Birch Bay

Celebrate Christmas in July all month as part of Birch Bay's 1st Summer of Holidays.

31st Annual Birch Bay Discovery Days

A great weekend for the entire family! Fun activities abound with a grand parade down Birch Bay Drive, arts & crafts fair and a variety of food vendors. July 2-5: Celebrate America's independence with Top Hat decorating contest, history trivia, pie-eating contest, jello-eating contest; plus Best-Dressed bike gets place of honor in parade and prizes awarded for most patriotic site. Enjoy the music of Norm Lynn poolside (weather permitting).

July 18-19: We will open Roy Rogers Field to the riders of the annual Seattle-to-Portland Bicycle Race and will offer a Spaghetti Feed on Saturday Night and an early Pancake Breakfast on Sunday morning. Members and guest are welcome to participate (cost is $8 for dinner and $7 for breakfast.)

July 23-25: TT has Talent Weekend - You're invited to the Family Lodge for a performance by The Drama Dragons on Friday night. Talent Show and Chili Cook-off Potluck on Saturday.

July 30-Aug 1: Enjoy water games all weekend. Friday night includes Dive-in Movie and Saturday night is the inspirational music program at Roy Rogers Fields. Please note that Western Days, originally scheduled for July 16-18, has been rescheduled for the last weekend in August.

Mount Vernon

Lake Minden

July 2-4: Independence Day Celebration: Bring your favorite multicultural potluck dish for our Friday night Melting Pot Potluck as we celebrate the diversity that makes America great. On Saturday, deck out your bicycles as we kick off Independence Day with a bicycle parade around the lake. Then join in the fun for variety of scheduled competitive games including horseshoes, volleyball, softball, and mini-golf followed by A Star Spangled Barn Dance. On Sunday evening enjoy hot dogs and s'mores followed by a "Safe and Sane" fireworks display.

July 9-11: Christmas in July: Crafters know it's never too early to start crafts for Christmas. Come share your best Christmas ideas and patterns at a Crafter's Coffee. Take a Christmas crafts class or two and start your beaded Christmas ornaments now and have them ready for Christmas gifts and tree decorations. July 16-17: Just Peachy: Celebrate the season, peach season that is, with some down home family fun. Join us for a Peach Pie and Potluck Social, peach milk shakes and a peach jello-eating contest. Share your favorite peach recipes or make a peaches and cream bracelet. Kids will think it's just peachy when Pom Pom the Clown visits Saturday morning.

July 23-26: Medieval Madness: Hear ye, hear ye ~ The Kingdom of Lake Minden requests your presence for some royal fun. Forget the silverware and join us for a Medieval Potluck Social followed by Brown Bag Bingo. Sign up for Saturday's Royal Fishing Derby and catch that big one for a royal prize. Or join in the search on our Sword in the Stone Scavenger Hunt. Take a turn in the giant jousting ring. Kids can craft a crown or tiara.

Celebrating 152 years, event includes fun, food, carnival rides, entertainment, Tuff Trucks and Mud Bogs. Also, Top of the Trail will be open for breakfast on Monday.

July 30-Aug 1: NASCAR Weekend: Bingo in the Barn on Friday night, Saturday events include site decorating contest, our annual build a race car from a cardboard box craft, race car parade to show off your cars, and NASCAR trivia.


July 2-5: Celebrate Independence Day with site decorating and all summer traditions. Catch the local fireworks. DJ dances on Saturday and Sunday night.

July 9-11: Pajama Party: Wear your jammies to the Rec Hall and dance the night away.

July 16-18: Happy Hobo Weekend: Don't dress up – dress down! Best hobo outfit wins a prize. Bring a non-perishable food item to the dance – for Second Harvest.

July 23-25: Splish Splash! You're gonna get wet (so dress appropriately). Water balloons, canoe races, water gun shootouts.

July 30-Aug 1: Race Weekend II: The second of the big NASCAR races is at the Pocono track Sunday. This one is huge – reserve early.

July 17-18 Pocono's Wurst Festival Oktoberfest in July features great food, good music and lots of fun, plus a 5K Trail Run on Sunday. Located at Shawnee-on-Delaware, all day event. For information, visit

Timothy Lake North

July 2-5: Happy 4th Weekend: Bring your patriotic spirit and celebrate with softball, tug-of-war, and tag football. Live entertainment Saturday and Sunday evening.

July 9-11: Christmas in July: Santa is coming to Timothy Lake to bring you holiday cheer. Decorate our Christmas tree, make some delicious holiday cookies and don't forget to pack your lights and decorate for our site decorating contest.

July 16-18: Mardi Gras Weekend: Let loose and have a great time with scavenger hunts, arts and crafts and entertainment. Visit the Tarot Card Reader to see your future.

July 23-25: Dino-Mite Weekend: T-Rex is back again to entertain all dinosaur fans. We'll have dinosaur pinatas, projects and a dinosaur egg hunt to keep kids busy. July 30-Aug 1: Luau Weekend: Relax and enjoy a tropical getaway this weekend. We'll have a DJ and a hula dancer to entertain you on Saturday evening.




July 3-4: Our annual Red, White and Blue Parade! Decorate anything on wheels and join in! Plenty of pool games and fun at our Family "Pool Party" featuring live entertainment by Lou Renshaw. Be sure to stop by the Recreation Office to get your glow in the dark bracelet to wear as you watch fireworks down by the lake. Lots of 4th of July crafts.


Forest Lake

July 2-4: July 4th Weekend events include fireworks, golf cart parade and dance featuring the Wishful Thinking Band. Reserve early.

July 9-11: Fun-in-the-Sun Weekend features water games and the Broke-n-Lonesome Band.

40th Annual Southeast Old Threshers Reunion

July 2-3: Independence Day Celebration includes carnival at the beach with rodeo and novelties, food concessions and live music, plus huge fireworks display. Our golf cart parade is Saturday at 3 p.m.

Chesapeake Bay

July 12-17: Bring your kids and grandkids for a week of Vacation Bible School. Relax in the mornings while the children enjoy learning and fun activities with the VBS staff. On Saturday night, bring the whole family to the gospel concert featuring Jerry Jones.

July 31: Our first annual Croaker Saltwater Fishing Tournament is open to all ages. Pier and shore side contest category for those without boats and Boat category for those with boats. No entry fee for Pier/Shore side; $10 entry fee for boats. Celebrate your catch with a dance at night.

Harbor View

July 2-4: Pool Party from 8 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, plus decorate your site red, white and blue. Best-decorated site wins a prize.

July 23-25: Birthday Time: This day is set aside to give thanks and enjoy every birthday of the year. Don't forget to wear a birthday hat.
