Cultus Lake

May 8-9: Mother's Day Weekend: There will be a craft to make for your Mom and a wonderful Sunday morning breakfast where Mom's breakfast is free. Bring the whole family for a nice weekend away for Mom. On Saturday evening, treat Mom to an (All You Can Eat) AYCE Spaghetti dinner.

May 14-16: Free Guest Weekend: Members can bring guests for a free site for the weekend (2 nights). We will allow up to 2 free guest sites per membership for the weekend (space permitting). Please contact the preserve direct at (604) 858-3932 to participate. Plus, we'll have our cook's famous burgers and hot dogs, and karaoke in the Rec. Centre.

May 22-24: Victoria Day Weekend: On Saturday morning we will have a special kids' craft commemorating the Victoria Day holiday. Breakfast will be available each morning of the long weekend and we will have an AYCE Chili Dinner on Saturday. Plus first 2010 Manager's Meeting at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.

May 29-31: Memorial Day Weekend: Breakfast will be available each morning of the long weekend. Kids' activities are planned for the weekend. Come back and join us on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. sharp for our 1st Annual Welcome Back Rotating potluck dinner. Meet old friends and make new ones.


Pacific City

May 1: Uno de Mayo! Featuring Chips, Salsa and Bean Dip Social. If you have a favorite food to celebrate this special day, bring it and the recipe to share. Watch the Kentucky Derby on our big screen TV.

May 8: Mother's Day Weekend will feature a Mother's Day craft and "Find MOM" scavenger hunt. Treat Mom to walk on the beach and a Tillamook Ice Cream cone or Mother's Day sundae from our store.

May 15: Gone to the Dogs features hidden puppies scavenger hunt and make a "paw print" greeting card craft. Dress up your pooch for the All Pooch Review Dog Show.

May 29-31: Memorial Day Weekend: Find the U.S.A. facts at the scavenger hunt, plus U.S.A. crafts, campfire with s'mores and Scott David Magic Show and karaoke. Raise the new American flag at the Family Center. Watch the Indy 500 race on the big screen TV.

Whalers Rest

May 28-29: Whalers on the Wild Side: Join us for a weekend of non-stop fun. We will have a Jell-O Riot and a Caveman Party. The summer season will be at its prime with campfire fun, BBQ lunches, plus breakfast and dinner too.


Birch Bay

May 8: Cinco de My O Mom's Fiesta Potluck for All kicks off Birch Bay's first ever Summer of Holidays, plus Phase II and the swimming pool open for the season.

May 28-31: Kick off the camping season with Memorial Day at Chehalis. Lots of special events are planned including a potluck supper at 6 p.m. Sunday in the Family Lodge.


May 28-31: Annual Circus – Wenatchee Youth Circus Group: The "Greatest Little Show on Earth" or between Seattle and Spokane performs their annual circus kickoff right here at the preserve. Also karaoke with Patty in the evening, plus other fun and games.

Little Diamond

May 9: Fishing opens for Large Kamloops Trout! Chili Feed in the evening in the Lodge with refreshment. Prize for the largest fish caught on Saturday. May 21: Pool opens of the season.

Kids Fishing Derby

Join us at the fishing derby located at the Northern State Pound in Sedro-Woolley. Bring your own gear and bait and settle in for a day of fishing. Open to all children ages 14 and under. For more information, call (360) 855-1841.

Lake Minden

April 30-May 2: Cinco de Mayo: Hola Amigas! Bring your favorite nacho topping and join us Friday night for Nacho Potluck Social. Come celebrate Cinco de Mayo with lots of themed activities, food and crafts. Show off your singing talents at afternoon karaoke. Make a festive pair of earrings in a beading class. Kids can help bust a piñata.

May 7-9: Mother's Day: Join us for Friday Night Spring Salad and Baked Potato Potluck Social and stay for Brown Bag Bingo. Moms treat yourself to a beading class and make a beautiful spring bracelet. Bring the whole family and join us for Family karaoke. Join us for a Mother's Day Pie Social and then burn off the calories in a Mom and child paddleboat race across the lake.

May 14-16: Armed Forces Day: Pay tribute to those who have served or are now serving our country in the Armed Forces at a Pie and Ice Cream Social. Veterans are encouraged to bring a photo of for our Salute to Veterans Board and memories to share with other veterans and members. Make a red, white and blue craft project or bead a pair of patriotic earrings.

May 21-23: Boat Races: The Hydro Plane Boats are back! Enjoy the excitement of watching these beautiful boats race around the lake. Don't forget to bring your camera for some spectacular photo opportunities. Do a spring-themed craft project. On Saturday evening show off your dance moves at the first Barn Dance of the season. Plus, Show and Sell Weekend" Sign up early for a craft/white elephant sale. Boat races on the 22nd and 23rd. Band on the 22nd.

May 28-30: Memorial Day Hawaiian Holiday: Aloha and Mahalo! Join in all the festivities to make this weekend FUN, FUN, FUN! Join us Friday for a Hawaiian Potluck Social followed by Brown Bag Bingo. On Saturday enter a Fishing Derby and try to catch that big one. Play volleyball, miniature golf or horseshoes. Take a paddleboat, kayak or canoe around the lake. Make a splash by dressing Hawaiian for the Saturday Night Dance where we'll have a hula and limbo contest, plus a DJ.

2010 Cinco de Mayo Festival

Enjoy a community cultural celebration featuring Hispanic/Latino foods, children's activities, folkloric dance performances, and music from mariachi to salsa. Fun for the entire family. May 29-30: On Saturday we'll have a "build a PVC flag holder" class for teens and adults, plus musical entertainment by the pool and s'mores. On Sunday, we'll have the Memorial Day Flag Ceremony at the flag poles, a campfire sing-a-long and storytelling and Teen Dance with DJ by the pool.

San Benito

May 1: Join us as we celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Everything this weekend will have the essence of Mexico from fine dining to our crafts.

May 8: That this opportunity to spend precious time with our deserving Mothers. We'll have crafts geared toward Mom, plus a special evening of dining and dancing featuring the entertainment of Mike Noonan. Sunday Brunch just for Mom. Wilderness Lakes

May 28-31: Memorial Day Weekend: E&E Animals will bring rare critters, Dominic's Karaoke provides lots of songs to showcase your talents, Buttons the Clown and Friends will provide face painting and balloon figures. The Hit Men will perform all afternoon, and Sunset Entertainment provides a Teen Dance in the Gazebo for the younger generation.



Bay Landing

May 7-9: Pamper Moms Day: We will spoil our Moms with a Mary Kay facial while kids make a gift for Mom at craft time. Throw away your apron for the day and let Leslie's Country Kitchen do the cooking.

May 28-31: Memorial Day Celebration: It's Red, White and Blue time again at Bay Landing. Don't forget to decorate your rig or cabin for the Best Decorated Site Contest. Come to the clubhouse for egg toss, water balloon toss, banana eating contest and much more. There will be BBQ dinner at the Country Kitchen, plus games and contests all day long. In the evening there's T-Bone Road at BV for a little dancing under the stars.

Butterfield Stage Days and PCRA Dodge Rodeo

Event features craft booths and food booths with all kinds of goodies, plus a carnival for the kids and young at heart at Bridgeport Harwood Park. On May 7 and 8, the PCRA Doge Rodeo will be held at the Bridgeport Rodeo Grounds and will include a street dance.

Lake Conroe

May 1-2: Cinco de Mayo Weekend/Happy May Birthdays: Taco making at its best, plus Best Bean recipe contest. We will also have a Mexican dish cook-off, Tortilla Toss and Mexican Hat Dance. Birthday cake and party in the AC.

May 8-9: Mother's Day Weekend: Kids' craft for Mother's Day, plus Mother's Day tea in the AC along with a mother/kid trivia game and mother and child Wii tournament.

May 15-16: Cruise Line Bingo Weekend features Games, Games, Games! All day long we will have a bingo marathon, volleyball at the lake, pickleball (members vs. staff) at the pickleball court and Wii tournament in the AC.

May 22-23: Summer Kickoff Weekend: Lots of outdoor games including volleyball, kickball, pickleball, bingo, golf cart races, and slushies and sno-cones to refresh you. Come cool off in the evening with a game of Brown Bag Bingo (please bring a 43 gift in a brown bag).

May 29-30: Memorial Day Weekend includes apple-bobbing, tattoos for kids, water volleyball, Memorial Day crafts, Memorial Day golf cart and bicycle parade, plus outdoor games for kids, and the Silverado Band performs in the evening.

Weekly farmers market includes arts and crafts, and music. Held at Main and Metcalf Streets in downtown Conroe each Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Lake Texoma

Medina Lake

May 1: We'll have cake and ice cream to celebrate May birthdays and anniversaries. In the evening we'll pop in a movie and pass around the popcorn.

May 8: Mother's Day Weekend: Join us for a special Mom's Day craft and all kinds of bingo, including Candy Bar Bingo and Super Bingo. On Sunday Moms eat free when Dad and the kids come for breakfast at Top of the Trail Café. There will also be a door prize for one special mom – a $50 gift certificate for the Cutaway Beauty Salon.

May 15: Tournament Day includes all kinds of tournaments with an award ceremony in the evening.

May 29: Memorial Day Weekend features Wacky Golf, hayrides, banana splits and lawn games on Saturday. Saturday night it's party trays and door prizes. On Sunday we'll have a pool tournament during the day with BBQ dinner and dance in the evening featuring Bimbo and the Borderline Band. Top of the Trail Café will be open for breakfast on Monday.

Feast of the Ste. Claire – 30th Anniversary

Celebrating the pageantry and history of Michigan from 1759-1840. Kenisee Lake

April 30-May 2: Kentucky Derby Weekend: Cheer on your own horse during the running at Churchill Downs. We will have a Taco Bar following the race to celebrate. We will furnish the shells and the meat; you bring the toppings.

May 7-9: Mother's Day: Treat Mom to our fabulous breakfast buffet. Join in our version of "The Family Feud." All Moms receive a free sundae on Sunday afternoon.

May 14-16: Sunday evening, when the park is closed, we will recognize all members who celebrate a birthday or anniversary in May.

May 7-9: OK kids, show your mothers how much you love them; we'll have arts & crafts in the morning and then go on a nature walk.

May 14-16: Campfire Weekend: Look for marshmallow sticks on our nature walk and then gather ‘round the bonfire and tell scary stories.

May 21-23: Spring Cleaning Weekend: It's time to get things ready for the summer season. Help clean up the beach, put our the chairs and boats, clean up the golf course and get everything ready for the summer season. On Saturday night we will have a BBQ potluck dinner for all the helpers.

May 28-31: Wet-N-Wild Memorial Day Weekend: speed slide contest, balloon toss, and swimming relay and our first pool party of the season. On Monday at noon we will have moment of silence at the flag for our Memorial Ceremony.

Timothy Lake North

May 1: Members pitch in and help beautify the resort by planting flowers, getting the pool ready and general sprucing up. All volunteers enjoy a free "Pig Pickin" with all the trimmings.

May 31: Summer Kickoff/Memorial Day: Full recreation program begins, with Saturday night DJ, crafts, hayrides, cookouts and much, much more.

18th Annual Battle of the BBQ

Annual fundraiser for the Chamber of Commerce features 20 cookers competing for cash prizes. Whole pigs and all the trimmings are prepared. A real North Carolina "Pig Pickin".
