MESSAGE FROM THE CEO

Joe McAdams - CEO, Thousand TrailsSo Much to See, So Much to Do!

“We’re gearing up for a great season.”

Seasonal Parks set to open. With the arrival of spring, many of our preserves are getting ready to open for the season. Our staff is busy preparing the preserves and grounds and putting the finishing touches on improvement projects, from painting and landscaping to electrical upgrades, new pool furniture and more. They are working hard to make sure everything will be in tip-top shape when you come to camp.

Getting free dues may be easier than you think. As you start to make your camping reservations for 2009, don’t forget about our Member Referral program and your chance to receive FREE dues for one year! Making a referral is so simple – just call our referral department toll free at 877-284-3002 and tell them the names and phone numbers (or email addresses if you prefer) of your friends, neighbors or co-workers. Our courteous referral staff will then send them a special invitation to experience Thousand Trails. Your guest will enjoy a complimentary three-day, two-night camping trip and participate in a no-pressure sales presentation. Here’s the best part – if your referral guest decides to purchase a membership, you will receive free dues (up to $450) for 2010! How easy is that!

Are you partial to a particular park? If so, you’ll love our new One Park Membership which provides you and your family access to a Trails location . . . either close to home or near your favorite vacation destination. For just $495, plus annual dues, you can select from more than 80 private, secure preserves nationwide featuring resort-style amenities in some of the most breathtaking natural settings while enjoying many membership privileges to boot. Plus, if you refer a friend to the program and they enroll in the One Park Membership, you will receive 50% off your annual dues.

Want to linger longer? Consider our extended stay sites and vacation cottage sales at our New Jersey and Pennsylvania parks. Whether you want to bring the kids or grandkids to the preserve every weekend or stay put for the whole summer this is a great opportunity for members who are looking for an extended vacation destination. You’ll spend less time (not to mention hassle and expense) hauling your RV back and forth and more time relaxing at the park enjoying all the amenities and making new friends.

As the year goes on, this extended stay program will encompass more preserves in the TT and Outdoor World systems, based on site availability at each preserve. If you’re interested, check with the preserve manager or ranger at your favorite preserve for availability.

Expanding Your Travel Options. For 2009, several ELS resorts are again dedicating a number of their campsites for Thousand Trails, NACO, Leisure Time, Outdoor World or Mid-Atlantic members. For just a $3 per night fee, visiting participating ELS resorts is as easy as visiting any preserve within your own membership.

Reservations are required and as sites are limited at each resort it’s best to make your reservations as soon as possible. No sales talk, no required tours of the resort – just an opportunity to relax and enjoy these great ELS resorts. Here’s the deal:

Pennsylvania members who have access to the Thousand Trails Hershey Preserve now have camping and rental access to the popular ELS Spring Gulch Resort in New Holland, Pennsylvania.

In addition, members who have access to the Outdoor World Moody Beach Resort now have access to two popular ELS New England locations: Patton Pond Resort in Maine’s Bar Harbor area and Tuxbury Pond RV in South Hampton, New Hampshire.

Oregon members who have access to either Seaside or Pacific City now have access to the Mount Hood Village RV Resort, located in Welches, just 40 miles east of Portland.

New York members who have access to the Mid- Atlantic Rondout Valley Resort now have access to the popular ELS Lake George Escape Camping Resort, tucked in the Adirondacks of Lake George, New York.

Plus, all members wanting to experience North Carolina’s Crystal Coast can enjoy access to two of the ELS North Carolina gems: Twin Lakes Resort in Chocowinity and Goose Creek Resort, located directly on the Bogue Sound.

I hope you get a chance this spring and summer to enjoy a few of these ELS resorts!

Until next time,

Joe McAdams
