8th Annual Oyster Cloyster Festival
An elegant evening of fine food surrounded by talented musicians creating merriment throughout the Oregon Coast Aquarium’s captivating exhibits. Delicious clam chowder, platters of tantalizing appetizers, luscious desserts and rich coffee, plus, a no-host bar featuring select Oregon wines and microbrews—all make the Oyster Cloyster an unsurpassed coastal event. The event is from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The aquarium is just five minutes north of the Whalers Rest Preserve.

Winter Whale Watch Week
Scenic vistas, picturesque lighthouses, storms with pounding surf and migrating pods of whales. Watch for spouting, breaching (heads straight up in the water) and flukes and tails and you’ll have an Oregon experience to remember. Gray, humpback and sperm whales make their annual December pilgrimages south from the chilly waters of Alaska to their mating and birthing grounds in warmer Mexican climes. Taking place all along the Oregon Coast.

Haled as one of the best small-town festivals on the East Coast, this festival celebrates the waterman heritage of Virginia’s Tidewater Country.
